Just when I thought I baked the last cake for March, there was a last minute ordered which I happily obliged. Having no available ube and mango cake ingredients at that time, I made the buco pandan cake. Then there's this big birthday celebration lined up for this month which is the 3-tier Tigger themed birthday party. And of course the other orders to open the month include the chocolate cake (which I haven't baked in a long time), ice cream cupcakes (perfect for spring and summer) and one of my bestsellers which is the ube macapuno cake (this time, I used ube halaya balls for the topping). I also included the Mother's Day cake I made last month, it is my first take on the black velvet cake. I used my usual chocolate cake recipe but using tablea instead of cocoa and topped the cake with cream cheese frosting and fresh fruits.

The First Three Months of 2014
Sorry it took me three months to update. I never thought my first 2014 post would take this long. The oven (and of course me) has been very B-U-S-Y baking. Some orders have to be turned down as they were too impossible to do. Well because I have work and a baby to take care of, not to mention my husband of course (lol).
Anyway, these are the pictures of most of the cakes - from the first order to the most recent (yesterday). I think there were at least two cakes that I forgot to take photos of. These also does not include the baking I did for practice/experiment cakes and special occasions (i.e. our birthdays this month). I think I badly need a vacation from baking.

Last Hurrah for 2013
Just before the year ended, I had these last orders for the year - all for the new famous ube macapuno cake. Again I had to give up some orders as they were too much (and too impossible to do), I learned my lesson last year and some were really very last minute (not to mention I also had a commitment for a godson's birthday/new year party). Still. I am very thankful that the year ended with a big (ube) bang.
HAPPY NEW YEAR & cheers for a fruitful 2014!
